Recipe for Jell-O...

Salam alayk...

Mohon maaf la sgt2 sbb lm sungguh nk berkongsi resepi jell-O kt blog...da ramai yg bertanya dan asyik bertangguh je nk share...alhamdulillah, hr ni dpt la berkongsi resepi jell-O tu...selamat mencuba!

Jell-O is easy to make n great for parties...omputih mmg suka buat jell-O ni n they called  it Jello shots (shots tu sbb diorg campur vodka...so for us Muslims, no need la nk campur all those things yg akan meng'shot' kan kepala...but for non-Muslims friends, mayb u can just try adding vodka...but bear in mind - cannot give Muslims friends to eat)

For me, I just love doing it with oranges...cantik n senang...but u can try with watermelon, pineapple or any other fruits yg kulit keras...so that it is easy to make the skin of the fruit as your mold (acuan). Later I will try with watermelon n let u taste...ok? ^___^

Jell-o orange:
Ingredients (bahan-bahan):
2 boxes of agar-agar Jele original flavor (Nona brand)
12 oranges (Sunkist)
Any coloring

Steps (cara-cara):

1. Wash the oranges and peel of any sticker on the skin. Put in a basin or big bowl.
I've tried with several types of oranges...the Sunkist oranges are the best and perfect for the jell-O. U can buy the oranges in Giant, Tesco or any other supermarkets.

~ ada yg jual sebiji-sebiji, yg ni ada 1 pack skali, 8 biji ~


~ bersihkan buah oren n make sure buang pelekat yg ada tulis 'Sunkist' tu ~

2. Cut the oranges in half. Cut through the stem and scoop out the flesh using a small spoon. Make sure u scoop it carefully. Potong buah oren ikut tanda buah yg da ada lebih senang. Then, ambik pisau potong urat putih atas dan bawah dan keluarkan semua isi oren.

~ Scoop out all the flesh. Yg belum expert kena slow2 keluarkan sbb nnt blh terkoyak kulit oren ~ 

3. Put aside the flesh in a medium bowl. U can use it later to add in the jell-O or save it for fresh orange juice. If u want to add in the jell-O, squeeze the flesh until u get the needed juice. Leave the pulp for a better taste. Isi buah oren yg da dikeluarkan semua blh disimpan utk buat fresh orange juice atau blh blend dan masukkan dlm agar2 utk rasa oren.

~ bila scoop isi oren dgn betul, isi tu akan keluar bulat sekali mcm ni...xhancur ~

4. Place the hollowed orange skins on a baking pan or muffin tin. I just placed them on a baking pan coz I don't have a muffin tin n the oranges are a lot, so one muffin tin won't be enough. Susun kulit oren atas loyang atau bekas muffin. Kalau ada banyak bekas muffin ok, tp kalau xda, lebih senang guna loyang sbb blh susun byk terus.


5. Add 400ml of water in a pot (if u want to make 2 layers of jell-O, orange and any other flavor/color, then use the orange juice earlier. Up to u to use 400ml of orange juice(OJ) or make it 200ml OJ and 200ml plain water). Some people don't really like the taste of real OJ, so I usually use 300ml OJ and 100ml plain water. Renehkan 400ml air atau campuran jus oren dan air (terpulang sukatan nk buat berapa), ada yg suka rs masam oren jus, ada yg xsuka, so boleh agak la berapa nk letak, asalkan 400ml.

6. Pour the Jelle into the pot. Nona brand jelle is easy to cook coz u just have to add into the water n no need to add any sugar. I suggest u to buy the original flavor coz when u want to add any fruits or mix it with any juice, it will taste better. But if u plan not to mix with any juice, u can buy any flavor (strawberry, mango, pandan, orange). Beli perasa original lebih baik sebab nk campur dgn jus oren dan letak buah2an campuran rasanya lbh sedap. Tapi kalau x, boleh je beli yg da ada perasa.



~ Nona brand, original flavor - 1 box is enough for 12 oranges (already cut half). I use 2 boxes for 2 layers jell-O, for 24 oranges (already cut half) ~
~ 1 kotak utk 12 biji oren yg da potong 1/2 ~

** If u hv 12 oranges(already cut half) n u want to do 2 layers jell-O, then divide the jelle into half (45g for orange, 45g for any other flavor/color). 

~ There are instructions at the back of the box on how to cook the jelle. Stir the jelle and add any coloring you want (for my jell-O, i use orange for the orange flavor on the bottom n green/red for the upper layer ~


7. Pour the jelle mixture into the hollowed skin oranges. If u r planning to do 2 layers, then pour only half into the skin. If not, just fill all oranges up to the brim. Put the oranges into refrigerator or let it cool to room temperature for about 25-30mins. Press down on the jell-O with ur finger to check it. If ur finger sinks into it, continue chilling, if not, u can put any fruits on it. Tuang agar2 ke dalam acuan kulit oren. Kalau nk buat 2 layer, tuang separuh je n biarkan sejuk. 

~ Tuang separuh saja (kalau nk buat 2 layer, kalau x tuang penuh semua) ~

8. Cook another jelle as in step 7, and pour the jelle up to the brim of the oranges. Take note that u should put ur fruits first on the 1st layer of jell-O, then u can pour the 2nd layer jelle mixture. Put the oranges into refrigerator for 40-60mins.   Masak jelle sama sprti langkah 7, dan letakkan buah2an dulu atas lapisan pertama jell-O yg da keras sebelum tuang lapisan yg kedua. Biarkan sejuk dalam peti sejuk selama 40-60min.

~ Bila 1st layer da keras, susun buah. Ikut suka nk letak buah ke nata de coco ke ~

~ Tuang 2nd layer on it ~


~ Da siap tuang 2nd layer n biarkan sejuk ~

9. Once solid, slice each half into 2 wedges. Serve and enjoy! Selepas da beku, potong oren dua. Hidangkan dan nikmati!
